Buying A Condo

Here are some great questions to ask when you are considering buying a Condo or a HOA Property

  • Condition of the unit you are considering
  • Condo fees each month and what do they cover.
  • HOA rules that may make it difficult for you to make improvements
  • Avoid living directly below a common area, like a rooftop deck
  • How many units are for sale or rent
  • Does the Association have adequate reserves
  • What does the Association’s insurance cover
  • Guest parking
  • Extra Storage area
  • Management-is it managed by a qualified professional company
  • Do association rules limit your ability to rent the unit, if you wish
  • What’s the neighborhood like – walk the area at night or on weekends
  • and check out your neighbors above and below you and on each side..
  • Has your Agent sold any units in this building or in the area

There are many more questions, but this is a good start…..
