House Hunting and Other Tips

Quote of the Day - With Attitude!

“There are no shortcuts – to any place worth going.”  By Beverly Sills

Are you house hunting? Here are some more great ideas and questions to ask to keep you safe and not spending more than you should.

If you are buying in a Sellers market and the Seller is considering multiple offers, the Buyer with a pre-approval letter will stand out. (This happens when your Lender verifies all your financial info and determines how much money you can borrow) It can take 2 weeks to a month.

Here are some tips for Buying a House:

-Get professional Help

-Before house hunting, get pre-approved

-Don’t buy if you can’t stay put

-Start by shoring up your credit

-Aim for a home you can really afford

-Buy in a district with good schools

-Choose carefully between points and rate

-If you can’t put down the usual 20%, you may still qualify for a loan

-Do your homework before bidding

-Hire a home inspector

Also, Know that Flood Insurance is not included in Home Insurance Policies. It needs to be purchased separately from an insurance agent or insurer that participates in the National Flood Insurance Program..
